We believe that everything that has ever existed is worthy of reminiscence and knowing our past is to better understand the present. The life we have been living in the past 50 years is resulting in a fast extinction of wildlife. Fortunately, we are seeing a shift in people's values – slow living is increasingly being honoured, and in a rapidly changing world, more enduring values are sought around them. The first collection Extinct talks about the extinction of species.

The patterns used combine ancient pigments and geometry and the first collection introduces three lost birds – passenger pigeon, dodo, and the great auk. Our main inspiration is from Mexican and Estonian old solstice traditions honouring the departed souls. Many cultures throughout history have celebrated autumn harvest festivals in dedication to the dead. And what is death after all, if not life broke into atoms, where the soul disperses into the silence of nature’s eternal cycle? As the indigenous artists of extinct cultures used to depict both life and death inherent to each other; a common duality, like quiet birds that shine at night. We do not own any of the stories of the lost species, we simply retell it in our way to reveal the fragile connection between species and their environment. It is a homage to the past and a call for a better, more nature-preserving future.
